“Smart Weathering” is a very intuitive, compact, and powerful solution developed for Blender users that lets you add Weathering effects to pre-existing shaders in a non-destructive way.
It has been created to smartly recognize where to create the different weathering effects that you can enable, and fine-tune, without the need of using UVs or baking during the process.
This bridges the gap that currently exists between the modeling and texturing phase, resulting in an instant feedback texturing experience, that allows you to create many more texturing design iterations (that adapt their result while you are still in the modeling phase) and lets you concentrate on the artistic aspect of your project.The resulting texturing you can see was created by just playing a few minutes with the sliders of the developed tool using a very simple base shader (almost default Principled BSDF).
